  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes

  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano

  • 1 teaspoon dried basil

  • Salt and black pepper to taste

  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Oven:

    • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

  1. Cook the Ravioli:

    • Cook the cheese-filled ravioli according to the package instructions until just al dente. Drain and set aside.

  1. Prepare the Tomato Sauce:

    • In a saucepan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onions and sauté until translucent.

    • Add minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.

    • Pour in the crushed tomatoes, oregano, basil, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Simmer for about 10-15 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.

  1. Assemble the Baked Ravioli:

    • In a baking dish, spread a thin layer of tomato sauce.

    • Place a layer of cooked ravioli over the sauce.

    • Spoon more tomato sauce over the ravioli, ensuring they are well coated.

    • Sprinkle shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese over the sauce.

  1. Bake:

    • Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the edges are golden brown.

  1. Garnish and Serve:

    • Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes.

    • Garnish with fresh basil leaves before serving.
