Cheese Burger Egg Rolls

Ingredients:

For the Filling:

  • 1 pound ground beef

  • 1 small onion, finely chopped

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1/2 cup dill pickles, finely chopped

  • 1/4 cup ketchup

  • 2 tablespoons yellow mustard

  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise

  • Salt and black pepper to taste

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

  • 12 egg roll wrappers

  • Vegetable oil for frying

For Dipping Sauce:

  • 1/4 cup ketchup

  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise

  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard

  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

Instructions:

Prepare the Filling:

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat if necessary.

  2. Add chopped onions and minced garlic to the skillet and cook until the onions are translucent.

  3. Stir in dill pickles, ketchup, yellow mustard, and mayonnaise. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the mixture is well combined.

  4. Remove the skillet from heat and let the filling cool slightly.

Assemble the Egg Rolls:

  1. Place an egg roll wrapper on a clean surface with one corner pointing towards you (diamond shape).

  2. Spoon a portion of the cheeseburger filling onto the center of the wrapper.

  3. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top of the filling.

  4. Fold the bottom corner over the filling, then fold in the side corners, and roll the wrapper tightly into a cylinder.

  5. Use a little water on the edges to seal the egg roll.

Fry the Egg Rolls:

  1. Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C).

  2. Carefully place the egg rolls in the hot oil, a few at a time, and fry until they are golden brown and crispy. This usually takes about 3-4 minutes.

  3. Use a slotted spoon to remove the egg rolls and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.

Prepare the Dipping Sauce:

  1. In a small bowl, mix together ketchup, mayonnaise, yellow mustard, and Worcestershire sauce to create the dipping sauce.

  2. Adjust the quantities to your taste.
