Preheat Smoker:
Preheat your smoker to a low temperature (around 225-250°F or 107-121°C) using wood chips of your choice (hickory or mesquite work well).
Prepare the Chex Mix:
In a large mixing bowl, combine Corn Chex, Rice Chex, Wheat Chex, pretzel sticks, mixed nuts, bagel chips, and cheese crackers.
Make the Seasoning Mixture:
In a separate bowl, whisk together melted butter, Worcestershire sauce, liquid smoke, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, and salt.
Coat the Chex Mix:
Pour the seasoning mixture over the Chex mix and toss until all the pieces are evenly coated.
Smoke the Chex Mix:
Spread the seasoned Chex mix evenly on a baking sheet or disposable aluminum tray.
Smoke for Flavor:
Place the baking sheet in the smoker and smoke the Chex mix for about 1 to 1.5 hours, stirring every 20-30 minutes to ensure even smoking.
Cool and Serve:
Allow the smoked Chex mix to cool completely before serving.
Store:
Store the smoked Chex mix in an airtight container to maintain its freshness.
Note:
You can customize the mix by adding other favorite snacks like small pretzels, corn nuts, or different types of nuts.
Adjust the level of spiciness by modifying the amount of cayenne pepper.
