Magic Cookie Bars

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted

  • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs

  • 1 cup chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans)

  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

  • 1 cup sweetened shredded coconut

  • 1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven:

    • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking pan.

  1. Create the Crust:

    • In a medium bowl, combine the melted butter and graham cracker crumbs. Press the mixture evenly into the bottom of the prepared baking pan to form a crust.

  1. Layer the Ingredients:

    • Sprinkle the chopped nuts over the graham cracker crust. Then, evenly distribute the chocolate chips and shredded coconut over the nuts.

  1. Pour Sweetened Condensed Milk:

    • Pour the sweetened condensed milk over the entire mixture, making sure to cover all the layers.

    • Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the edges are slightly pulling away from the sides of the pan.

    • Allow the bars to cool completely in the pan on a wire rack. This is important to allow the layers to set.
